Job purpose:

As our Marketing Director you will be responsible for leading our company's marketing efforts. You will provide leadership to our marketing department by developing and driving marketing strategies (in collaboration with country MDs) which lead to the accelerated growth in our business plan, planning and coordinating marketing activities and clearly communicating marketing plans to those involved and across the company.

As Marketing Director You will:
Lead BauWatch’s marketing organization, creating a results- and performance-driven culture that supports rapid scaling of the business (revenue and profit).

Create and develop clear pillars of focus which will contribute to our growth, focusing on PR, events, website, content, social media and branding. You will ensure owners of these pillars are accountable for achievement of clearly-defined goals.

Ensure marketing is part of the integrated business strategy for all countries and the BauWatch Group, defining its clear contribution to our success. To succeed, you will need to build a strong and lasting relationship with country MDs to ensure frequent and open communication leads to a strong working relationship.

Responsibilities:

Lead the team responsible for defined, focus pillars, measuring success against clearly defined goals:

• PR – setting up a network of agencies/freelancers to establish and grow BauWatch’s name and reputation in the market.
• Events – identifying and running key events, including exhibitions, online events, speaking slots.
• Website – managing the company website strategy and activities.
• Content – managing content creation optimized by channel to support thought leadership and followership.
• Social media – consolidating channels to support the BauWatch brand but ensuring impact is maximized within countries.
• Branding – ensuring consistent approach across all countries.

You will also work with all countries in the area of lead generation and demand creation, ensuring marketing spend results in expected business growth.

Define and measure key KPIs and drive continuous improvement to support growth, in areas including, but not limited to;

• Lead generation (MQL)
• Cost per lead (CPL)
• Customer acquisition cost (CAC)
• Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)
• Churn/retention rates

We believe our Marketing Director is or has:

• Managed a marketing team previously and have a proven track record in creating/managing a performance-driven culture.
• An excellent communicator, aligning with stakeholders across the organization and ensuring clear understanding of responsibilities, deliverables and “what good looks like”.
• Thrives on change; you are able to define a clear path from A to B and take people with you, explaining the WHY as well as the WHAT and HOW.
• Sees marketing as a growth lever and measure impact.
• Excellent project management skills, able to coordinate your team and external resource to support the business.
• Internationally-focused; BauWatch works in multiple countries and all of them contribute to our overall success.
• Familiar with lean/agile working.

BauWatch has become a household name for every party that wants to temporarily secure an outdoor location, initially in the Netherlands and now also in other European countries (Germany, Belgium, France and the UK).

You can be based in one of the countries we are active and will be expected to travel regularly to existing and new country entities.
